We might be biased, but Stafford is pretty great, isn’t it? You’re never too far from anywhere and we are incredibly lucky to have so much going on in our local area. We’re done being stuck in the house – let’s go out and have some fun.
Stafford Walking Street
We’re pleased to tell you that Stafford Walking Street Market is back again on Thursday 12th August for another amazing afternoon of live music, great food and all out fun. It sets up right in the centre of Stafford once a month and it is ALWAYS a good time. There’s more information to be found on their Facebook page here, but we have it on good authority that there will be Paw Patrol characters if you have little people in your family who are fans and mobile bars will also be there if you have big people in your family who are not so much a fan!
National Prosecco Day at The Judge and Jury
You may or may not know that Friday 13th August is in fact, National Prosecco Day. We happen to be right next door to Stafford’s Hottest pub – The Judge and Jury and we can tell you with absolute certainty that there’s no better place for a glass of fizz on a Friday Night. In fact, prosecco is half price on Fridays from 4-7pm. Why not pop in and celebrate? Oh and if you’re a Bridgewood House customer – you get 10% of EVERYTHING in The Judge and Jury (we heartily recommend the pizza!).
Just So Festival, Stafford
For something a little more ‘outdoorsy’ why not check out the Just So Festival this summer? This seemingly magical, camping festival is an annual event that is held at Rode Hall and Gardens on the weekend of 20th – 22nd August. A festival that celebrates the arts, children and adults alike can enjoy unleashing their creativity, settling down to watch performances and learning something new in one of the many workshops on offer. Stafford County Show
We couldn’t not mention Stafford’s County Show – could we?! On Wednesday 25th and Thursday 26th August, there is a wealth of fun to be had at Staffordshire’s County Showground. From live music to show jumping, crafts, donkey rides and over 400 trade stands, there really is something for everyone! With the showground just a 15 minute drive away from us at Bridgewood house, if you or your family need somewhere to stay – we specialise in affordable accommodation. You’ll be pleasantly surprised when you check out our prices. For more information about the county show, have a look at the website by clicking here.
Stay safe out there everyone and we really do hope you have a fantastic summer – we all deserve it!
